Just back from my 20 year week scan at the hospital and was told that I would need an extra two growth scans to monitor the babies size as there is only two blood vessels going into the umbilical cord. Usually 3.
The sonograph person said that this can indicate a problem with the babies heart or kidneys, but on the scan these looked good so far... he said it sometimes it just happens with the two rather than three vessels and no other problems are found.
Obviously I am trying to relax about it and telling myself he said the kidneys and heart looked good on the scan.
Anyone else heard of this or in the same boat?
