leaking boobs at 17 weeks

i was just wondering if any one else has experienced the same as me. i am 17 weeks today and for the last few nights i have noticed little stains on my bottom bed sheet. they are a creamy colour and are just where my boobs would be, i think i may be leaking but its dry in the morning and there is no evidence on my boobs.
i know this sounds really thick but this is my first and i really did not expect this so early. i also have a dog that likes to sleep in the bed in the day so i am thinking it may be coincidence and its him making these little stains ( but that?s gross)

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

itll be your boobs
breast milk not like cows milk, its more yellow and creamy and sticky (the foremilk anyway)
i had TERRIBLE problems with leaking, even as early as you, its quite normal. sometimes i would wear a sports bra with breast pads inside when in bed, sometimes i would sleep on a soft towel, otherwise i was having to change the sheets daily

Nope thats exactly how it started with me - at 16 weeks I started getting stains on the bed-sheet, and then quickly started getting left overs on my nipples. I was a bit confused though, as even if I got up in the night to go to the loo, I could never squeeze anything out!

thanks nailpolish. did you find that it started just at night. i am sat at work in a big chunky cardie cos i am dreading it leaking at work.

I've experienced leaking for 6 weeks now, and its only ever been at night. I wear a padded bra to work so at least if I do have any leakage it won't show! I've been paranoid about that too!

nailpolish · 30/08/2007 11:21

yes it was only at night for a while
do you sleep on your front? i do and i think it contributed
have you got breast pads? you can get disposible ones or reusable (washable) ones

pud1 · 30/08/2007 11:28

i bought a breast pump that was 1/2 price in tesco last week and there was some breast pads in with it. i took them out and said to my oh that i will keep them in my knicker draw cos i might need them in a COUPLE OF MONTHS. i think they have jinxed me.
i shouldnt compkain really as i had 2 mc last year and ended up with a lump in my boob that realy frightened me but a specialist told me that it was enlarged milk ducts and hormonal inbalance from the mc's as they were only 3 months apart so i was worried that when i got pg again my boobs wouldnt function properly, i think i can loose that thought now

pud1- I have exactly the same thing happening i'm 19 weeks. Can not abide wearing a bra in bed so have been wearing scruffy yeats and low and behold every morning I have little stains... this continues all day.. nightmare but feel happy that it is a good sign.. good luck with everything xx

think i am going to buy some cheap vest. i hate wearing bras in bed too. i had to waer a maternity bra for the first month as my boobs were sore. i was so pleaseed to get over that bit.
