Hot baths

Been reading a pregnancy page on FB about not taking hot baths when pregnant. I like a bath and never have it hot enough that i am sweating or anything as i find that uncomfortable.
Any advice on this topic?

I've kept on having baths throughout both my pregnancies without any issue. As long as you don't have it too hot it's fine.

I’ve had quite a few baths during my pregnancy. They helped me to sleep a bit better and helped with lower back ache. Like you have said yourself, if you don’t have the water hot enough that you are sweating/raise your body temperature it’s fine.

We moved into a house with a walk-in shower a year ago. God, I miss my baths. But I only really liked them if they were so hot I could barely get in, so it's probably just as well!

Yeah some of the scaremongering out there is beyond silly! I think sometimes people forget if you use some common sense then you will be fine!

Hands up.. I like a bath. When I'm in it, I top it up.. I never realise how hot it is until I get out and there's steam coming off me and my skins red..
39w1d now.. I never was told about not doing it until recently

I was reading up on this, and a study has come out which shows that someone's core body temperature is only barely raised, if at all, through a hot bath in practice. Obviously if you feel yourself overheating, maybe time to get out of the bath.

Here's the news story, which also links to the study:
