Hi everyone!

Among all the unwanted pregnancy advice I’ve been getting, being told I will go well past m my due date is playing on my mind!

So, those of you who have already had beautiful bubbas, how many weeks were you when you gave birth? :)

I was also constantly told I would go past my due date but the baby actually came 3 days early. I wasn't prepared because I'd been told he would be late so hadn't bothered doing some of the prep thinking I still had time. Even if you expect to go past your due date make sure you're all prepared a little bit in advance of the due date just in case.

QforCucumber · 15/01/2020 10:03

10 days over with my first, I'm currently 19 weeks with my 2nd. A due date is an estimate don't forget, so don't focus on it too much.

Wanderer1 · 15/01/2020 10:04

I saw a table recently that gave the likelihood of giving birth in any given week of pregnancy. I'll see if I can find it....

GoingBackTo505 · 15/01/2020 10:10

11 days late. I was due to be induced the next morning. I was never told if I'd be early or late though.

ChocolateCoins19 · 15/01/2020 10:11

I was told. With ds that I'd ggo over. He hadn't engaged was still so high.. Had midwife that morning at 39.5.
Gave birth 2 days later

Dd I was told would be early.. I was induced day after her due date due to less movement.. Had her at 40. 2

Timmytoo · 15/01/2020 10:11

Gave birth last week on the 5th. Due date was the 9th. Had lots of Braxton Hicks about 2 weeks prior. This is my beaut

When did you give birth?

I was 4 days over with my first and 3 weeks early with the 2nd. I never listened to any of the 'fluff' about being early or late otherwise I'd of been driven bonkers!

Dyra · 15/01/2020 10:15

37 weeks due to induction.

I was more than ready to go overdue, but not ready in the slightest to go early. I'd planned to get everything perfectly ready the weekend after I turned 36 weeks. Instead that weekend was spent in hospital while my family rallied to get it done for me. Luckily we'd purchased everything for the hospital bag the weekend before. Just the bag wasn't put together.

Never again. I'm having a hospital bag and where the baby is going to sleep ready by 24 weeks next time.

firstimemamma · 15/01/2020 10:17

41 weeks, went into labour spontaneously.

moonlight1705 · 15/01/2020 10:19

It was 11 days over for me and I went into labour the night before I was due to be induced - those days dragged massively.

Delurkernomore · 15/01/2020 10:20

Number 1 due date, number 2 41weeks. Both spontaneous. That extra week with number 2 was awful!

Nelly325 · 15/01/2020 10:38

4 days past my due date. But that was an induction. I'm sure I would have gone another few days. I kept thinking ( hoping) he would arrive early because I wanted him to come so much and I was so uncomfortable, that I convinced myself he would be here at week 38 or something! I was excited from 36 weeks onward. This time around, I am not expecting the baby to arrive until week 40.

vampirethriller · 15/01/2020 10:40

42+3
She did not want to come out! I was induced at 42, then c section three days after when that didn't work.

fluffies · 15/01/2020 10:40

@Timmytoo how gorgeous is she Smile. With number 1 and 2 I was induced I went over 2 weeks number 3 few days late but waters went so I was still induced number 4 I had 2 days early and number 5 I had 3 days early so every one is different Grin

jackstini · 15/01/2020 10:41

First was 11 days over by their dates, 19 days over by mine
Failed induction (after leaking meconium) and EMCS - all fine, dd 8lb 9oz

Second they advised ELCS due to previous issues and size. Had one 2 days before due date - again all fine, ds 9lb 8oz

jackstini · 15/01/2020 10:43

On the other hand Dsis went into Labour 6 weeks early and gave birth at 34+4
She never did make it to antenatal classes!

newatbabystuff · 15/01/2020 10:47

35+3 here - emergency section in the middle of the night (because of placenta previa). I had a hospital bag sortof ready but hadn’t really put it together, and didn’t think to take baby’s hospital bag with me when i went in because i didn’t imagine i’d be coming out with a baby!! Luckily we had bought everything and just put the snuzpod together the weekend before but DP spent a couple of days going between spending time with us in hospital then sorting out the house. We had only moved in a couple of weeks before. A tad stressful and i don’t really recommend it!! Get ready nice and early and you can relax - if baby is late then spend that time on the sofa!

EstebanTheMagnificent · 15/01/2020 11:00

DC1 40+5
DC2 38+6

Latenightreader · 15/01/2020 11:56

Went into labour spontaneously at 39+4 and she arrived on her due date, which was also my birthday! I expected to go over, but the hospital wanted to induce me earlier because I was 'high risk'...

20viona · 15/01/2020 13:08

37+4 induced due to IUGR. 5lb 3oz little dot.

Hayley94 · 15/01/2020 13:26

Spontaneous labor at 39+1 with my first x

Needadviceplz · 15/01/2020 16:16

10 days over here hoping this one will be on time!

muddlingmyway · 15/01/2020 19:10

40+12 baby was fully engaged and my bump “dropped” early so people kept saying I would be early but somehow I knew I wouldn’t. Those last few days were lovely - I just relaxed and enjoyed my last few days before the madness began!

sometimesalways · 15/01/2020 19:13

Waters broke at 38+2 with my first. Had baby in my arms less than 12 hours later. Firsts aren't always late!

DaisyMay25 · 15/01/2020 19:14

10 days early, was my first. He wasn't engaged at all and my bump hadn't dropped, wasn't even having Braxton hicks. Had bloody show followed a second later by my waters breaking then lost my plug a few hours after. I had zero labour symptoms before this!
