Midwife appointment

When is the next midwife appointment after the 16 week one?

I've been ringing my midwife since yesterday morning but her phone seems to be switched off.

I thought it might have been 25 weeks. This is DC2

28 weeks if it's your 2nd. Only have a 25 week if it's your 1st.

I would have thought someone would want to check up on you before 25 weeks.. I have a midwife appointment booked in for just after 20 weeks, I don’t know if this typical or not though, they seem to be offering me a bit more support because I suffer from mental health issues. You can ring a midwife at any time though if you have any problems or concerns.

If you're a low risk pregnancy then it's usually 28 weeks for subsequent babies. 25 for first.

I’m pregnant with my first and have had midwife appointments at 8 and 16 weeks so far. The next one is booked for 25 weeks.

Standard schedule is:

Booking - All
16-18 - All
25 - 1st
28 - All
31 - 1st
34 - All
36 - All
38 - All
40 - 1st
41 - All

Some people have extra appointments due to high risk or consultant appointments or scans. But that is the normal schedule!

OK, I am high risk so thought it would have been 25 for me too, even though this is DC2. I'll call community midwife tomorrow morning to double check.

Called GP up who said due to high risk should be seen at 25 weeks. I'm 25+4 today.

With this pregnancy no letters have been sent it's been me trying to get in touch with them.

She had not appointments until in 28 weeks so she's gonna try and fit me in next week.

It's my first baby and i have one at 25 weeks but that is with my GP, i think that is to measure bump ect not sure what else they will do.
Then back to the midwife at 28 weeks.
