I’ve been sent to triage by community midwife for the above symptoms. Blood pressure not coming down and trace on baby seems fine. I’m 37+6, anyone else had this at this stage and what happened? A bit worried! She mentioned she thinks it’s pre eclampsia. Blood pressure is very high but not dangerously high.

It great you are in triage.

This are all signs for preeclampsia, had it once. It's great you're almost 38 weeks.

I guess if they confirm it's preeclampsia you might be admitted to be monitored for your BP and protein and other bloods. You might be offered induction or if you get worse with BP not settling, it might be safer to deliver by C-section.

You're in good hands.

But ask your doctors and midwife as much as you want to know. I learned they hardly told me anything unless I would ask exactly what I wanted to know.

They're concerned about pre-eclampsia. I think you'll be in for a while for some tests and come monitoring. Worst outcome is they'll want to induce

some monitoring, that was meant to say

Thanks for your input.
Cervix is closed and baby’s trace was fine.
They’re keeping me in overnight for monitoring and going to take it from there.
They said being 38 weeks is good as baby is term. Just need to wait and see how it goes now!

I had pre-eclampsia in my 1st & 3rd pregnancies and both times was induced. Once at 37 weeks. Once at 38+2.

It’s good you’re in hospital. If baby needs to be born sooner rather than later then you both should be fine. You are almost 38 weeks, that’s a good stage to get to.

I expect it means you’ll be meeting your baby very soon. It’s not just about risk to baby though, you are quite at risk too so please do be sure to tell them if anything changes at all, e.g. if you feel worse. The only cure for pre-eclampsia is delivery

I feel very nauseous and have headaches but they said that can be normal and are going to monitor me and see how I am overnight and make a decision.
