Hoping someone can help! I'm 20 weeks at the moment, and so far have had 5 UTIs, all ecoli. Saw consultant last week who said I should have been referred earlier, and she has put me on antibiotics for remainder of pregnancy. She said I needed an urgent kidney scan to see what was going on. So far the hospital haven't processed or booked one and I'm struggling to get an answer as to when they will!
Wondering if anyone has had a similar amount of UTIs and can advise on what their their treatment or outcome was? I'm concerned that there is something affecting the baby, and no treatment is being sorted 😥

Sorry you're going through this. Can't really offer much advice but I know how you feel as I've had at least 3 UTIs now (e coli) during this pregnancy and I'm 17 weeks. My doctor doesn't even talk to me, I just drop samples off at reception and then reception calls me to say I've been given antibiotics.

I am just trying to drink loads and loads of water every day as sometimes I can clear them on my own. I assume you follow all the advice about hygiene, cotton underwear etc? I do and it doesn't seem to make much difference. UTIs are so so horrible, sorry you're going through this too. Hopefully if you start taking antibiotics regularly you won't get them anymore.

I'm not an expert, had an UTI this pregnancy already. I always wear cotton underwear, hygiene, drink loads.

I tried to follow some natural remedies appear from the antibiotics.

I read cranberry juice is quite recommend especially in other countries. I taught that won't harm. So far so good.

I think if you already have to be on antibiotics it won't hurt doing some more research and find some ways to help your UTIs improve.

Hope it helps and you get your kidneys scan soon!
