I'm just currently 31w+4 pregnant, I usually don't suffer bad back ache, I had some in the second trimester but wasn't that painful or persistent.

Today for the past 3-4 hours I've had some back ache that's turned almost unbearable whilst sat at work. I keep having to get up and wonder around the building to try ease it (doesn't work). In the last hour I've had some shooting pains in my stomach and sides, baby is still moving away so still feeling movement as normal.

I'm going to head home from work soon, have a bath and consider phoning the hospital. Has anyone else had anything similar? I hate phoning the hospital as feel like I'm being dramatic (only phoned twice during my pregnancy and both times they didn't see me and I was fine). Could I just be needing rest of baby position is low? She always lies really low anyways, and this morning I did wake up and think there was a lot of pressure low down.

I'm 34 weeks and have constant kind of back ache, pains and spasms now through my stomach merely with the weight of the baby/position I guess. If I sit still too long or walk too far it flares up. I am just accepting it as usual pains of late pregnancy (this is my first)

I'm 30+4 and I've had a few back pains the past couple of day's... last night was a bit painful whenever I stood up it felt unbearable! I've just put it down to normal symptoms...

I do feel a little better today as I had a nice lay in which seemed to help Smile

Thanks for the responses ladies! I have been to the midwife and doctors and I've actually got another kidney infection so I've got more anti biotics again for 5 days. I guess it wasn't just standard pregnancy pains as originally thought x
