Positive opk test 2 days before AF

..I'm new to doing ovulation tests and I did tests around my ovulation day (28/29th December) got high results then around 31st they went back to faint lines...I did a opk test just now to see how faint my line would be while not ovulating as my AF is due on 14th/15th and its come back with a high result...so I'm really confused now, surely I can be ovulating so close to my AF...I'm bang on 35 day cycle every time so I dont have irregular periods although this is my first time tracking ovulation

OPKs can also show positive if there is HCG present. I would take a pregnancy test

Some women get another surge just before their period so could be that. Also like above you could be pregnant, opks can pick up the pregnancy hormone. I got a positive opk when I was pregnant.
I'd take a pregnancy test. Good luck

@polkadotpixie @bellbaeu @kevintheorangecarrot ohhh! I was worried incase I wasn't testing correctly and missed my window. Me and DH have only been trying 2 months and I thought I'd try the opk tests just to get a rough idea as the apps were terrible and all over the place. I will try my best to wait until the 16th and then I'll get a pregnancy test just so I dont get my hopes up this month. Thanks ladies for the info, if I do get my AF I'll be expecting it so wont be too disappointed
