Loss of appetite

Hi all. Am 9+1 and have only had 1 bout of nausea and sickness about 2 weeks ago that went as quick as it arrived! However since then I have zero appetite. Feel peckish now and then, get 2 or 3 bites into something and it's gone, don't want any more etc.

Is this common?

Dont feel queasy or anything whether I eat or not. I just find it bizarre as its something I've never experienced

Hormones are weird. You might find that your appetite comes back with a vengeance in a few weeks.

Just eat what you really fancy, and keep taking your vits.

I'm either ravenously hungry and nothing with kerb it, or I just don't want to eat. My nausea hasn't been bad, but my hunger is like a yo-yo. I know it's crap but you still need to eat, even if you don't fancy anything.

I think I've had the same confrontation with my DH three times this weekend when's he's asked what's for dinner as my response has been "whatever you want to have, I don't fancy anything" :( it's rubbish isn't it! But I'd take it over vomiting any day of the week.

I totally lost my ability to recognise hunger when I was pregnant. No rumbling tummy, nothing. Some days I didn't even realise I hadn't eaten until dh would point out that I seemed a bit cranky in the evening....

Everyone said it would come round in third trimester but it didn't...

I gained a total of 11lbs in the pregnancy, baby was 6.15, the rest was placenta and waters...

2 weeks after baby was born and I was a stone lighter than before pregnancy. (Result?!) I've gained half a stone since then and finished breast feeding. It's just a weird hormone thing.

Main thjng is to set a timer if you have to and eat something as baby does need the nutrients. Pick the healthiest foods if your not hungry. And if you continue this way till birth and breastfeed, it is demanding so again make sure people keep you well supplied with healthy snacks through the day.

Thanks everyone glad om not the only one!
Am currently forcing myself to eat a bit of something. Today's lunch was half a banana and quarter of a sandwich Blush
