I am so uncomfortable today - I really need to go and keep feeling the urge but sitting on the loo and nothing comes out - or a tiny rabbit dropping!

What can I do to get this moving and quickly?

Just had a sweep so I am double-uncomfortable and the thought of possibly going into labour with this going on is stressing me out!

Apparently there is a drink you can get not sure if prescribed or can get from chemist called laxtouse I think it is. Seems to help many women maybe worth a trip to chemist to ask. Do you deffinately need to go? Only ask as 38 weeks and for past week I've had the same but don't actually need to go it's just all pressure from baby moving down

Hi OP

I suffered with this throughout my pregnancy really bad! As you are 37 weeks I'd speak to your GP about what you can take, I took lactulose and movicol they are both stool softeners, however movicol makes you go comfortably (make sure you drink LOADS of water tho). I'm not sure how it would you effect you taking this at this stage tho so best to double check.

Movicol is the brand name however pharmacy's tend to give Cosmo col or laxido which are the same product.

Hope you feel better soon, it's a awful. On the plus side when I was in labour I managed to properly go!

Hi, I gave birth recently and asked for an enema before I was induced, it made me go right away! All the others take a few days to work. Hope it eases soon for you.
