Change of movements

This is DC2 so I know that any reduced moments should be reported and checked out however..... I’m 30 weeks and baby has now turned head down. Prior to this baby was laying sidewards and I would constantly feel punches to the left of my belly button between my hip and bottom ribs and kicks were all too the right side. These kicks would be any time I sat down, laid down, ate or drunk anything and was very noticeable. Since baby turned down I can only feel hard lumps like a bum in my ribs and head in my bladder when it stretches out but no kicks at all. He is still moving however the movements are less frequent but large more solid pushes and turns as opposed to kicking. Is this considered normal for once baby turns?

If they are less frequent then I’d get checked out.

Any change in movements should be addressed to your maternity triage unit . It's not true only reduced movements, but also a sudden increase in movements should be checked.

Give them a call, they'll probably want to check. If they say it's all good, it's maybe just baby that's changed position and you'll know that's normal for your baby.
