Swollen lady area and sex

I'm 28 weeks and the past few weeks my lady area has been quite swollen. Just wondering if having sex would irritate it any further?

Not as much as hearing "lady area" from a grown woman irritates me...

@OP you probably might get a bit irritated because of friction, although you l'altro never know until you try.

It can get swollen at any point during pregnancy, due to the extra blood circulating your body. It it's your labia that are swollen, it may depend on how bad they are, as it could make it difficult for your partner to enter. It it's inside, you may find the whole process uncomfortable. If you'd like to try, make the setting as relaxing as possible and go slowly – and don't be afraid to use lube to help (but do check with your doctor). If you don't feel comfortable, then stop.
