Hi all,

Does anyone have any good recommendations for beauty products (shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, face cream and hand cream) that are safe to use in pregnancy please?

I’ve stumbled upon a whole list of chemicals to avoid when pregnant and don’t even know where to start..! Ideally items that can be sourced easily from a high street and don’t cost the earth please. Thank you Smile

I use maui shampoo and conditioner as they're free of chemicals. They're fairly pricey so I buy when on offer at boots.

I've also been using Simple face cream and deodorant (aluminium free). The deodorant is ok but obviously not as strong as others. I used to use mitcham but its given me a rash on the occasions I've tried to use it recently.

Thanks so much for your reply! Smile

I use Green People, Lavera and Faith in Nature for most toiletries. Elsa's Organics for a fantastic deodorant. Inika for really great foundation (and other make up products, I'm sure, if I could afford them!). Go to the Dolphin Fitness website for the cheapest deals online, otherwise you'll find some Faith In Nature in Holland & Barrett. Mypure is also a really good website for finding other non chemical brands.

Thank you tamara - I popped in to Holland and Barrett today and picked up a few Dr Organic products, but on closer inspection of them at home (I was in a bit of a rush so didn’t have much time there unfortunately), a couple of them have Vitamin E in them, and Aloe Vera - I’ve seen mixed views on both of these online. Do you know if they are indeed to be avoided? Are Faith in Nature free of these?
