Would you go get checked out if you were me?

I'm 25+4 and I have an anterior placenta so I don't feel many kicks, but usually I will feel them around three - four times a day. The past three days they've been decreased, I got checked out two days ago and they listened in and baby was fine. I've felt small flutters I think maybe once or twice today but I can't tell if it's just gas. I think I've got thrush and I'm getting a lot of discharge and it kind of smells down there today (Sorry for TMI). And around thirty minutes ago I was bent over cleaning the litter trays (don't worry, thoroughly wash my hands every time) when my stomach started really hurting, almost like a period, I got cramps all down my thighs and in my back. Thirty minutes later and my stomach is still cramping and my back hurts.

Shall I go to the labour ward to be checked out? My partner was meant to be going out tonight for the first time in ages and I don't want to ruin his night if I'm just being paranoid.

Thank you x

I think I probably would. Go now and you might be back for him to still go out? ;-)

If you're having to ask, I think you know you need to go and get checked.

There are a few things that would be worrying me if I were in your position and I can guarantee you'll just drive yourself potty this evening if you don't.

Also please don't change the litter trays, make your partner do it, it's so not worth the risk no matter how careful you are!

Yes I would. It is obviously concerning you enough to post on here so please go to get checked out. My sil is a gp and always says that she’d rather check and reassure 1000 where there’s nothing wrong than think that someone is concerned but has a perception that they’ll be wasting her time. You won’t be!!

Get checked asap OP. This doesn't seem right at all to me.

welshweasel · 11/01/2020 17:10

Definitely go and get checked out. Why does it have to ruin your partners night though? Or do you have other children at home?

100%. My friends mother started the count the kicks campaign. My eldest I was in agony for weeks. I kept telling the hospital something was wrong. They kept telling me I was an anxious mother.

My child came early. Very Tiny. I nearly died with blood clots all over my body. Lungs. Brain. Heart. I only had a20% chance of survival. My child had a 000.1% of survival.

We are both ok. Not healthy. But alive.

Although I would hope it wouldn’t be that bad. It was the fact that the kicks decreased. I knew. I knew something was wrong.
