Anyone ever come across this before?
4.5mm mobile calcification in baby’s tummy at 20 week scan. No blood supply to it. Sonographer had never seen it before! She thought it similar to a gall stone but in the stomach.
Back next week for specialist to take a look.

I didn't want you to feel unheard. Are they saying it's a soft marker for bad things? Soft = "very uncertain so may be nothing at all", but I guess you know what.

Thanks for your reply.
The sonographer didn’t seem concerned by it per se, just bemused as to what it was! Everything else was as it should be.
She gave the impression that because it’s not something they expect to see, a referral to fetal medicine specialist is standard. At least that’s what I’m going with!

Sorry to hear that - you must be worried. Have never heard of it before. Is it your first pregnancy?

My hand on heart advice (from experience) is do not let yourself worry about this. The consultant will have a good look & give you a straight answer. No wondering about it from you will change the situation. If the sonographer saw nothing else of concern it's very likely to be one of those 'oddities' they ask questions about but turn out to be absolutely nothing.

Yes first pregnancy. At least it’s not long to wait for a consultant opinion.
Thanks for your posts.
