Pregnancy on implant?

Hiya!

I'm just wondering whether anyone has become pregnant on the implant as my doctor has said that it's impossible.

I've had my implant in since april 2017, so it's due to come out in 3 months time, about 4 months ago I started getting my regular periods again. Anyway I had my last "proper" period a month and a half ago.
About 3 weeks ago my breasts became swollen and really sore, but that's subsided now. But I am still very neasous, and my reflux is all over the place. I'm feeling very dizzy, the food I'm eating tastes overly salty to me even though I haven't added any salt amongst some other things.
Today, I started spotting, it is very very light, and I am feel absolutely horrendous.

I know probably it's unlikely that I am pregnant, but I'm just wondering if it's possible? And also, whether peoples hormones just got so messed up at the end of the implant and whether having the implant out would sort these issues out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

Just do a test?!

I’ve had the implant twice (only the first one was removed at the end of its life cycle though, I had the second one out at 2 years in). Yes, I experienced a change in symptoms towards the end (periods had stopped completely, they came back but still irregular and very very light).

Although there is a 3 year life span if I recall correctly the implant does keep working after this point, it’s just that three years is the definitive point during testing that the manufacturers could say it lasted until as every woman is different and the implant affects each person differently.

If you were pregnant enough to have all those symptoms, it would mean the hormone levels in your body would be high enough to give you a positive pregnancy test. I would test now and then also test 28 days after you last had unprotected (ie without a condom) sex just to put your mind at rest.

Thank you. :) I did a pregnancy test 2 days ago and it came back negative which is why I said at the end of the post I know it unlikely that its pregnancy related.
Just starting to feel so so lousy, I think I may end up having it taken out early if it's this thats making me feel this way!
