Hi everyone

Had a scan today by the EPU which was referred by our GP due to previous MCs
Embryo measured at just over 2mm and was told approx 5-6w. Going by last LMP should be 6w+4. Also the yolk sac to me appears really large but nothing was said during the scan. Also got to see the HB.
Now cant stop worrying after comparing images on the internet. Does anyone have any opinions? Thank you for your help

I had a scan today and was 7+2 by lmp but 6+5 by my dates and was told I was measuring 3mm and exactly 6 weeks. I think our photos are very similar and for what others say at this stage it is difficult to measure exactly.

Here’s the photos today. I looked back at the photos I have of my 7+1 scan I had during a previous pregnancy and it was much bigger and looked more developed than today’s.

At this stage, measurements can be out by as much as 8 days. So really don’t worry about that. The 12w one is the one you need to go by.

Don’t worry about other people’s scans. Different equipment, angles, mothers anatomy, weight, bladder fullness etc all means different pictures.

Congratulations on a healthy pregnancy! Xx

Thank you @Wudgy and @aNonnyMouse1511. I know I shouldnt compare but after the MCs found it hard not to.

Was so exciting to see the flickering HB. Keeping fingers crossed that everything stays ok.

Once you’ve seen a heartbeat the risk of miscarriage drops so I have everything crossed for you darling xxx

If nothing was mentioned at your scan then really try not to worry (easier said than done I know!). As someone else said at this stage measurements can be really inaccurate as they are measuring something SO tiny that a mm can put you out by a week.

I had early scan for both mine due to bleeding & pain & I stressed about all the measurements but both mine turned out just perfect Smile

Seeing a heartbeat is was more encouraging than measurements & if they haven't asked you to come back for another scan then they're obviously happy that everything is as it should be.

I had a scan at roughly 5-6 weeks and I think yours looks completely normal. My yolk looks huge too. Had a scan yesterday at 7 weeks and saw HB and baby which I'll attach. Good luck and congrats! 💕
