As title says really I am Full term, done with being pregnant!

I know all the usual- long walks, raspberry leaf tea etc but just wondering if anyone had any stories of things they think worked to bring on labour in their case!

I’ve tried:
Dates every day
Sex! Poor DH I’m like a cow 🐮
Walking up and down stairs (can’t manage long...)
Bouncing on yoga ball
Hot curry

Also I know babies come when they’re ready but am on maternity leave with nothing to do so happy to waste my last days desperately trying to kick things off 😂

Cooking. My husband usually does all our cooking as I hate it but I had a urge to cook a tuna bake, and ta da.

We joke the stress of it brought on DS.

I'm looking for a miracle too 😂 tried everything!

It's probably going to happen the moment we start to relax and stop obsessing over it but that's easier said than done, right! 🙈

Fresh pineapple - lots of it!!
I finally went into labour at 40+11. I had eaten an awful lot of fresh pineapple that day.

DamnShesaSexyChick · 09/01/2020 12:43

Cervical sweep, pineapple and lots of bouncing on gym ball

Napqueen1234 · 09/01/2020 12:44

Interesting people are saying pineapple someone said to me you have to eat 8 in one go to get enough of whatever it is for effect but I’m willing to eat 8 if it’ll work 😂

If you've been avoiding pineapple do not eat it.

It was not fun having a reaction to it as it caused my gums to bleed.

WeeMadArthur · 09/01/2020 12:49

Well I ate a pineapple after my dinner and my waters broke in the night, DS born the following day (4 days early but it was a hot summer and I was fed up dragging myself about). It definitely worked for me.

Goodnightjude1 · 09/01/2020 12:56

I remember my mum making me walk up and down the stairs sideways....king of crab like when I was 40 + 9 will DD2. I don’t know if it did anything but I went in to labour that evening!

Goodnightjude1 · 09/01/2020 12:56

I used a breastump 20 mins on each side and went into labour that night!

TurningLeaves · 09/01/2020 17:24

Nipple twiddling. Seriously! It was frightening!

MrsJ1906 · 09/01/2020 17:29

Let me know if anything works for you @Napqueen1234 I’m 39+5 and feeling the exact same way. I’ve tried long walks, pineapple (although last week), birthing ball, nipple stimulation, hot food and nothing’s worked. Guessing this little one just wants to be overdue 😂

shutupsteph · 09/01/2020 17:38

All nipple twiddling is doing is making me want sex😂 oh the joys!

bluebella4 · 09/01/2020 18:00

Sex!! Set me of 3 times.. all different positions 😉

fellyjish · 09/01/2020 18:05

Booked an induction, went into labour the night before!

sassenach84 · 09/01/2020 18:50

Napqueen1234 · 09/01/2020 19:25

Sex worked for me last time but not worked so far. Sat in a clary sage bath with my breast pump for 20 mins this eve- will let you know if there’s any action! 😂
