How much movement did you feel at 20-21 weeks?

It’s second pregnancy, have felt light movement occasionally from 16 weeks but even now at 20+4 it’s still only a few light movements a day.

Should I be feeling more?

I'm not much help, didn't find out I was pregnant with dd2 I until I was 5mths.
I had backache which I thought was a kidney infection.
Massive Shock when I went to the doctors.

I've only had one, and I didn't feel much of anything until maybe 22 weeks? My placenta was at the front so cushioned things a bit, so I didn't feel big kicks until maybe 25 or even 26 weeks. Do you know where your placenta is?
If it's something you're worried about I'd ring your midwife, it's always better getting reassurance about these things than ignoring them.
And congratulations!!! I'm so broody, mine is 18 months now and I pretty much cry instantly with bizarre emotional overflow if I see a newborn 😂

You may have an anterior placenta. It made the movements much weaker in my first pregnancy.

Have you got an anterior placenta? I did and I barely felt things until further on.

Place yet is at the back so not that unfortunately

First pregnancy and my placenta is at the back. I would get several kicks a day at 21 weeks. However just a quick, reasonably light tap and I don't think my partner was able to feel it. I remember quite clearly because when I had a day with nothing at 21 weeks, I rang the maternity unit. They just checked the heart beat and said they wouldnt do much more till after 24 weeks. So if you are getting a few, small movements every day that is similar to me, but appreciate you are on your second pregnancy. If you are still worried, then better off speaking to your midwife.

My placenta is at the font so movements are cushioned. It is my first baby and i didnt start feeling anything until last week but now i am 24 weeks i defo feel the bubs moving. If ur worried see the midwife or doctor

You can always ring your midwife, but I'm on baby number 4 and have and anterior placenta. I was told they don't expect me to have regular movements before 26 weeks.

Delbelleber · 09/01/2020 11:00

I am 20+2 I hardly feel any movement, I can't distinguish between it being my body or the baby. There's only been once or twice I've thought it's definitely the baby.
3rd baby!

I'm 23+4 and have been feelings movements since just after I hit 20 weeks, very lightly at first but now they're quite strong, this is my first pregnancy.

The frequency changes from day to day, some days I feel maybe 4/5 big movements/kicks max, and some days she is constantly moving, she also seems to be more active when I'm sat or led down compared to when I'm at work. I know the midwife said to look for patterns but honestly each day is different, at first I was worried if I couldn't feel her but nothing seems to be amiss.

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 09/01/2020 12:19

I'm 19+5 and feel kicks and movement quite strong every day. Today is the first day that I've been able to see the movement from the outside too. But I could start to feel him from 16 weeks, and I have a very wriggly baby. Also got a small frame on me x

Didn't really feel anything until 26+ weeks for either of my pregnancies.
