12 week scan on Monday - scared!

I'm not sure if it's a common feeling but I just don't feel pregnant! I have sore boobs, and have gone through the smell and food aversions, obviously no periods and 4 positive pregnancy tests but I've convinced myself that they're going to tell me there's no baby in there at the scan. I know it's silly. I have had cramps from 4-10 weeks with some brown and pink discharge after BM's so I don't know if I've convinced myself that something's gone wrong and had a MMC.

Is this your first pregnancy, and is there any history of MC? Its quite normal to feel anxious before scans, i have a scan every week due to 2 previous MC at 4 weeks and bleeding through this pregnancy (currently 8 weeks), and each week I convince myself they will no longer see a heartbeat. I have no advice on how to help the anxiety, however no red blood and no severe cramps is a very good sign and also Not everyone has pregnancy symptoms

This is my first so no history of mc. I did have bad cramps from week 4 until week 9 and once had a small amount of red blood after a BM last week. I called the EPU and they didn't seem bothered. Told me to call my GP if it continued into the next day which it didn't.

I'm in a similar position, trying to just keep telling myself that it will be fine. It's my first pregnancy, and I just feel a bit weird that we've got almost to the 12 week scan (I should be having it on Tuesday but I'm on holiday, so going the following week instead) and the only confirmation for this pregnancy is a home test... I guess I thought they would do something at the dr or the booking in appointment to confirm it? I did do a second test about a week ago, just to reassure myself, and that was still boldly showing as a positive so it reassured me for a bit. Like you, I know this is silly, but it's still a niggling worry in the back of my head.

I had an early scan at 8 weeks and I was terrified they'd take a look at the EPU and then tell me I wasn't even pregnant despite the tests I'd done saying otherwise.

Every time I've been for a scan since I've been worried they'll tell me something bad but every time (luckily) I've worried unnecessarily.

I'm sure you will be fine!

It's pretty normal to feel like this, I think. You can't feel anything moving and there's usually no bump at 12 weeks. I had no sickness so I really didn't feel pregnant at all! Hope all goes well.

Erised - please let us know how you get on with your scan.

Amazing scan picture! I'm around 12 weeks and have been thinking how much I don't feel pregnant - don't get me wrong I've had the symptoms - cramps, nausea, backache, sore boobs, and all was well at my early scan (10 weeks) but I just don't feel pregnant!! It's my first so I guess I don't know how it's meant to feel 🤣.

I have my midwife appt on Thursday so hopefully get my NHS dating scan booked in very shortly after that!

I'm so so happy for you. Grin
