Hi ladies just looking some advice / reassurance.
Found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago and have been so anxious and worried so I booked an early scan - the only date I could get was this week when I’ll be 7 weeks+2 days by LMP but 6wks 5days by my own calculations when I ovulated. Other than This week I would have to wait a further two weeks for an appointment as I’m away with work- don’t feel I could wait ! So I’m wondering is a scan at this date going to likely show a heart beat or would I be setting myself my for more disappointment/anxiety going for a scan so early. Any thoughts?
I’m in a unique predicament in work that I have to tell my employer very soon about my pregnancy as there’s a part of my role that you cannot do off pregnant so I thought the scan could be good to have been first. My NHS scan won’t be until February when I’m 12+ weeks, thanks any advice appreciated x

I had a scan at 6+1 yesterday and a heartbeat was detected.

@wudgy ok I'm literally the exact same position. My scans booked for this Friday which I think makes me 8weeks. Following post ** xx

I had an internal scan (dildo-cam) at 5+4. Saw a little flicker of a heartbeat.

I had my first scan at 6weeks (I forget the days) but there was a clear audible heartbeat. I will say though that she had to do it internally - the normal sonograph probably won't pick it up.

I had a scan at 6 weeks, it was internal and they could see a heart beat. The internal scan felt a tiny bit uncomfortable but it was fine and was very exciting to see the heartbeat.

I had a scan at 6+2 and it was abdominal and saw heartbeat.
I also know it's normal to have to have a internal scan to be able to see anything
Hopefully you'll be okay to see something with the dates that you have worked out

I had internal scans at 7 to 8 weeks for my first two pregnancies and saw heartbeats. With my third I will gage a scan at 7 weeks as well.

I recently had a scan, I thought I was 7+6 weeks from LMP but turned out to be 7 weeks with a little bean plus yolk sack and a very strong heartbeat. It definitely helped my anxiety but I know it doesn’t for everyone.
