i'm 37 weeks pregnant and even at this stage (i know i'm pregnant i feel him move) but it doesn't feel quite real, like i'll bring home a baby... now it's making me anxious that something will go wrong because i feel like this, or is it normal?? i'm a ftm so i have no idea it's just making me feel guilty. It's like my body won't let me get too excited! as much as i can't wait too meet him ❤️
any others?? xx

I'm afraid it didn't feel real to me until I had my baby placed in my arms.... Even now, 4 months down the line, I still have moments where I can't believe she's mine.

i am glad i'm not the only one that feels like that. makes me feel guilty like a bad mum already Confused

For me it felt real from about 6 weeks when I started vomiting several times a day! I think everyone's different and there's certainly nothing to feel guilty about in the way you are feeling. It will definitely feel real once the baby is here!

Still doesn't & he's 6 months old

I’m a HG sufferer & in both pregnancies, I’ve found it very hard to connect to being pregnant. I’m well aware I am due to being really ill but I just have a coping mechanism of switching off any emotion as all I link pregnancy too is feeling awful!

I had a 4D scan last weekend & even seeing babies face doesn’t much help (although very lovely). It’s crazy to think that little person is in there!

When they passed my DD1, it was almost a shock!

You are def not on your own feeling it’s surreal!

My son is 2 and I still can't believe he's mine. I love him to pieces but it's crazy to me that he's my son. I'm now 4 months pregnant so even more flabbergasted.

RhymingRabbit3 · 08/01/2020 22:28

When she was a few days old

JustaScratch · 08/01/2020 22:29

When it's over. DD was ten days overdue and during that time a not insignificant part of me thought my stomach would just start to deflate and it would turn out it had just been bad gas all along.

I’m 37 weeks too and could have written the same thing! I can feel her move and wriggle, have everything in place for her coming but still can’t imagine myself with a baby at the end! It’s so surreal!

Ffsnosexallowed · 08/01/2020 22:50

At about p4.

Latenightreader · 08/01/2020 22:56

14 months on and I still keep pinching myself. When I first heard her cry I kept saying "it's a baby! It's a baby!" until finally something clicked and I said "it's my baby!".

Three weeks to go, so exciting!

When you see the scan.

frankincenseandmur · 08/01/2020 23:00

I still sometimes don’t feel like mine are really ‘mine’ it’s crazy
