Hi everyone I’m 33 weeks pregnant and went to hospital two days ago with possible waters breaking. Waters haven’t broken and I had a cervical examination two days ago which I lightly bled. I’ve woke up this morning with this bloody mucus that looks like my plug. I’ve read on the internet that the plus can be disturbed after a cervical examination. Has anyone else had this. Also is it concerning do I need to ring the hospital back. Thanks in advnace

I'd ring them to see if they want to check you out as your only 33 weeks

I would ring the hospital back. I think the mucous plug helps to keep away infections, so they should be made aware.

I think the mucus plug can come away at any time during pregnancy but can "grow back". Best phoning as you are doing to check anyway.
