Ladies, Mums, Hello.

Insane things are going on for me.

My LMP was 11/25. I've posted a couple of times on here. My periods are very irregular so I don't know when EXACTLY I ovulated.

I found out I was pregnant from a home pregnancy test on 12/24 Christmas Eve. It's the first test in the pic. I tested until the 28th and stopped. Figured I'd save some money and just make an appointment with the doc.

I had appointment for the 16th of Jan when I suddenly started spotting. Beige spotting on the 28th. Then browner the 30th and full on BLEED (sorry TMI) on the 31st. I've been bleeding for a week from then. It finally slowed down TODAY but it had gotten so bad before, that I went to the ER simply just for some answers.

They said my Cervix is closed and they couldn't see anything on ultrasound. Nothing whatsoever.

HCG levels 100 and they said I need to be on bed rest-threatened miscarriage.

Ok. So I went on bed rest Thursday until today and I bled the whole time. Cramps like a period, a little bit of tissue passed.

I thought FOR SURE miscarried.

I have an appointment this Thursday for another check up with an actual obstetrician.

However, tonight--I wanted to ease my mind and test to see it's lighter or negative so I could just be sure that I'm not pregnant anymore. And this test came back DARKER and QUICKER than before! And I had been drinking water all day. This was taken at 730 ish PM today after work.

I know I'm seeing the doc in 1 day but goodness me, I had to let this out and share and ask your opinion? I'm so confused!!!

This happened to me. Had a completely normal (and heavy for me) period following several positive tests. Scans showed no chance of viable pregnancy as uterus lining had shed but my tests continued to be strongly positive. DD is 3 now 😊 They couldn't explain it but god it was stressful!

Ladybug4023 · 08/01/2020 02:15

@justenoughjim That's crazy. So it showed nothing on ultrasound??? How long did it take for anything to show? Did you bleed the whole time? Did the cramps let up at all? I'm so nervous for ectopic but it's so bizarre that the test would come back darker and quicker. It just doesn't make sense! Thanks for sharing your story. That's truly amazing and so insane.

Nothing on the ultra sound so they monitored for an ectopic. I'd had two previous MC's so was higher risk for one. I bled for around 10 days in total and it was about 6-7 weeks before they could see something in the scan.

It was a rollercoaster of emotions with all the uncertainty. I guess just really wanted to be here so clung on through all the bleeding!

Ladybug4023 · 08/01/2020 02:57

@justenoughjim so bizarre I've had two previous miscarriages as well.
Hm. Well! I guess I'll have to wait for Thursday.

Did your HCG levels rise as they should via blood work?

Thanks again for your insight and help!

Something similar happened to me but unfortunately it was a sign of bad news. My lines never got that dark (although obviously darker, even post bleed 1) and the digi never went past 1-2. The pregnancy came away in a second bleed. I’d expect a much darker line for how many weeks you would be to have found out Christmas Eve. In my sticky current pregnancy my lines got darker very quickly.

I hope this isn’t the case for you, many women do seem to bleed as part of pregnancy, just wanted to give the other side to things. Good luck.

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 08/01/2020 10:08

I got my clear bfp christmas eve and it was really dark by 27/12.
Bled heavily 3/1 clots, heavy period type bleeding and awful cramps.
Tested 6/1 and complete negative test.
So I would imagine yours would have done the same if you weren't pregnant? Thats only 3 days of bleeding before it was negative and I was really symptomatic (severe nausea and smell aversion, unable to eat til 5pm) until the bleed so I'm sure I was still actively pregnant until then.

And this was this morning. I'm so confused!!!

@Keyboard91 So sorry for your loss. Thank you for responding! And no that's ok, I like to hear all sides of the story. I'm realistic and a litttttle pessimistic :-x BUT I'm gonna keep faith up. Thanks again. Smile

@SweetpeaOrMarigold Aw man Sad I'm so sorry you went through that. Yeah it's just being in limbo that's driving me nuts! I'm still bleeding but like a pinkish, light. Prepared for the worst but hoping for the best. Thanks for your response and sharing your story. Star

@SweetpeaOrMarigold I got my HCG levels back and they went down Sad

They were 99 on Thursday the 2nd

And yesterday the 9th, they're 90

So they went down 9 points which worries me since it's not by a whole lot.

He wants to get an ultrasound before I go back for a follow up. I'm guessing to see the reminisce. I wish that with it falling, it was lower! It being high still worries me. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Xx

Generally HCG levels double every 3 days or so in the first few weeks of pregnancy, so sadly I don’t think it’s good news. Keeping everything crossed for you though.
