Help - stitch type pain down right hand side

I’m in real pain tonight - it feels like a severe stitch on the right hand side of my stomach area. I’ve had a warm bath but it hasn’t helped. Is this round ligament pain and is there anything I can do to relieve it? It really hurts! I’m 23 weeks pregnant.

Does anyone know? The pain has lessened a bit now but is still there!

@wondering7777 I'm not sure i can help you but i've had the same a few times. Also on the right hand side like a stitch like pain but i got up and moved around and not long after it went. I'm 23+5, i was taking it as ligament pain. If you are worried please contact your midwife :)

Thank you! Mine was on and off from 10ish last night. It’s gone now but if it comes back I’ll contact my midwife.

Contact your midwife today. Or if she's not available, ring maternity triage at the hospital. Pain should be checked out by a medical professional in pregnancy - don't just power through, hoping it'll go away.

@bumpyknuckles it has gone away now, but if it does come back I will contact them. I think it sounds like round ligament pain?

I had the same but earlier on in pregnancy, could hardly walk but if I laid down in a good position it was ok. Still get the odd pain when I sneeze/stretch the wrong way. Was just told it was the ligament pain.

Thanks @Millettmum - I had a google and it does sound very much like ligament pain. It does hurt - I'm hoping it won't come back!

My pain has also been solely down right hand side
