I want to quit my job but I’m pregnant

I have two jobs. Both work from home. First job I make less, second I make more, and could live off of alone. I’ve been feeling miserable in my first job for quite some time and have recently had more of a workload placed on me (I only work from home due to disability) which I feel is too much for me right now as I’m pregnant and struggling with low iron and fatigue. The atmosphere is quite bitchy and I’ve never been promoted or given a pay rise in five years despite working hard and asking for it. Just feel really really miserable to be honest and it’s making me feel quite low. There have been a few other things in the past where I have been treated quite badly (one when a colleague of mine attacked me and nothing was done about it). The only problem is I’m pregnant.

So what I’m wondering is WIBU to quit and just live off my second job even though I would have less money but still enough to live on, or so I stick it out for the extra income? I don’t want to be a bad mum or selfish.

What would be the impact in terms of maternity leave pay?

Could you work at both jobs until starting maternity leave and then just never go back to the job you don't like? Might be worth sticking it out for a few months to get the money in, if you can!

You have said you are struggling with fatigue which may or may not last throughout the pregnancy (not everyone has an easier 2nd trimester) if you don't need to do that one job then seriously consider giving it up... the health of you and your baby is so much more important than extra money. Good luck with your pregnancy and making the right decision for you ❤

How many weeks are you?
Personally I would try and stick it out at the job to earn extra money to see you through maternity leave, but not return after the baby is born. Will it affect your maternity pay if you quit now, either by reducing your earnings or by losing out on enhanced pay?
