Hi ladies! My partner and I are hoping to start trying for our first baby soon but I'm currently on the depo, I was wondering how long it took you all to get pregnant after the injection? 😊

It can take up to 1 year for fertility to return so fingers crossed it happens faster for you

18 months for me...

I got pregnant before my first period but I didn't get my BFP until after two months (if that makes sense). Unfortunately it didn't stick but after reading many stories about women who tried for months I felt more optimistic.

I was in the depo, not for too long though (I don’t know if the length of time affects it or not). I got pregnant around 10 months after my last jab, but this was without obsessively trying or tracking ovulation or anything it just happened as a little surprise, so it could have been sooner if I had been actively trying my hardest to get pregnant I suppose!

2 years

I only had it once and was told I wouldn't conceive for at least 3 months. We decided to stop preventing but not to actively try and I conceived after the 3 months. It's was our first and we were thrilled but surprised. Be warned!

It can take ages so the sooner you come off that the better I blame it for alot of my fertility problems I'm now 37 29 weeks pregnant x

5 years for me but my friend was only 2 years . I had been on it around 3 years .

I was on the depo for 11 years. My last injection ran out in July, I had my first period in September and conceived beginning of November.

Not sure if complete coincidence or not (probably) but I started taking agnus castus (sp?) and period started a few days after I started that.

About five bloody minutes. I came off expecting a wait to get prepared and it was very quick. Which I'm grateful for but planning...

kelsnyp · 08/01/2020 12:26

Make sure you take folic acid when your trying to conceive x

Thanks girls, everyone really does react differently! I was on the depo for almost 2 years and took a 6 month break, I've only had one shot since and I think ill leave it at that!
