Reassurance needed- bleed at 5/6 weeks

I am between 5-6 weeks pregnant, this is my second pregnancy after my first ended in miscarriage. On Sunday morning when I woke up I had a heavy bleed, went to the hospital and I had a scan, the pregnancy was still there but too small to see heartbeat etc. Dates are unreliable as I have been irregular since the mc. Bleeding has nearly all but stopped but convinced I’m just waiting to miscarry. Booked in for another scan in 10days. Does anyone have any reassuring stories or do i need to be prepared for the worst? I’m devastated I could be losing another baby.

When I was 12 weeks I had a huge bleed and passed clots, my son is now 7!

Hope everything turns out for the best OP Smile

@Pugmum19 my situation sounds quite similar to yours. This is my second pregnancy after MMC in May.

I started spotting at 5 weeks and it hasn't gone away. I went straight to EPU and had blood tests and a scan, same as you, they could only see the sac as too early to see anything else.

Had second set of bloods five days later as I was really worried, they were going up nicely. Had small bleed last week and epu wouldn't test again and told me to wait until 7 week scan which is tomorrow. Needless to say I am so afraid of receiving bad news.

Fingers crossed, I won't tell you to relax because I know it is really hard to do that. I tried to plan meeting with a friend or do an activity as we waited.

Xx

@drubio it’s just awful isn’t it. I’m so sorry you’re going through it too. The time is just going so slowly. I’m trying to fill up my week as well, keep busy.
I might book in with doctors to see about blood tests as I didn’t have any in hospital only a pregnancy test.
Fingers crossed for us both.

@BernadetteThreep thank you so much for commenting with that story, it gives me hope!!

Had my scan this morning, all looking good. Spotting is due to an haematoma linked to implantation. I asked for a reassurance scan before the 12 week one. One milestone at a time for me.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you @Pugmum19
