25 weeks and pretty small

Did/does anyone else have this experience to share?? I'm 25 weeks, 5ft 4 and my bump is still small, to the extent that I could wear only a slightly baggy jumper and no one would have a clue. (I also still find myself sleeping on my stomach, eek.) Weighing about 8 stone 4 at the moment, so have put on about 4 pounds I think

I'm sure all is fine, and I've got a GP appointment end of Jan, I just sometimes feel 'not properly pregnant' if that makes sense... although maybe I should be grateful not to be big - who knows Confused

I didn't have a bump until about 35 weeks and even then could still continue wearing most of my normal clothes until the end of pregnancy. The size of your bump depends on many factors such as height, uterus size, position of baby, strength of stomach muscles. I was told my lack of bump was perfectly fine and not at all a surprise taking in to account my physical attributes.

I definitely saw the lack of bump as a plus as I didn't have a massive belly getting in my way.

Is it your first baby? I remember with my 1st I didn't show till probally around 25 weeks ish and even then some people couldn't even tell although I could. I wouldnt worry about it some women do carry small and some carry big.

With DC1 I went on holiday for a week at 24-25 weeks. Travelled out in normal jeans, didn't try them on again for a week and they were suddenly a bit tight. Spent the flight back with my fly discreetly undone hidden under a jumper!

But that means that at 25 weeks I was only just starting to really show/come out of normal clothes. Sounds fine to me.

Sorry yes, first baby. I had no idea I had strong stomach muscles, rather a surprise that one Grin
Thanks all - and yes @Marinetta I should probably be grateful, ha

Im 5'5 quite small in the body, didn't show properly until I was 30 weeks and popped over night. I didn't buy any maternity clothes and could hide it quite easily. But I was gutted because I wanted a big bump lol.

This pregnancy I popped about 28 weeks (30 tomorrow) my bump seems alot lower this time too, so I've been able to pretty much do the same and hide it.

You're not alone, when I've been to antenatal I've had nothing there and it must look like it's my 12 week scan not my 28 week check up 😂

I'v been like that with all mine, it has positives - no stretch marks and wearing normal clothes with the exception of jeans (which I'm in straight after).
