I keep dreaming that I give birth to twins (I am not expecting twins) - don't know what that is all about. I always dream I am having boys too. I don't know the sex - DH thinks it's a boy but I always thought it's a girl. It's all quite strange!

I had a crazy one. I really wanted to see what the baby looked like, so went to the doctor who took it out for me. So I carted this baby about for a while, then decided it ought to go back in. Went back to the doctor, he said he was too busy, but I should go next door and the dentist would do it for me.

So went next door, the receptionist told me to get in the lift and go to the third floor, but the building was only 2 storeys.

I woke before the baby was re-installed!

I used to dream that I had given birth to one of those tacky dolls dressed up in National cotsumes that you buy in plastic tubes. I think it was Scotish. I also used to dream about going out shopping and stuff naked.

Last night I was trapped in big corn field and being chased by a very large weed killing despenser that was squirting thick black oil at me!!!!!!!!

Other dreams are of very vivid giving birth dreams were the hospital staff are either animals / aliens or taking in a foreign language. Apparently I pant lots during these dream.

My DH dying is also becoming very frequent.

Very very odd!!!!!!

i dreamt that i went to my 20w scan and the doc congratulated me on the size of my baby's trunk and ears. he kept on about how great they were then showed me the pic and i was carrying an elephant.

im tiny and ds was 9lb2 so i was kind of right

I had some very cinematic, apocalyptic dreams about terrible wars and death on a massive scale. Lots of blood red, stormy skies.... absolutely terrifying really but in actual fact I found them strangely exhilarating.

ledodgy · 28/08/2007 22:52

I keep having really dirty dreams. This happened in my pregnancy with ds too but not with dd. We found out last week this one is another boy and i'm convinced the dirty dreams are because I have more testosterone floating around than usual making my brain more man like.

Ah this is a hilarious thread!!! Love it - bit of cheering up required and I got it here!

I keep dreaming that I have to cross a war zone... to buy a pram?!?! Also, I keep having dreams that my man is secretly married to some boring ugly woman who he STILL decides to stay with although I have been with him 10 years (and knew nothing about his secret wife) and he leaves me cos I am fat, pregnant, fat, unsexy, did I mention fat and unsexy and ugly... When I woke up I didn't know whether to punch his lights out or wake him up to make sure he still loves me!!!!

Freak out!!!!

FioFio - you made me laugh with yer blowing noises

I kept having dreams that involved an ex, which is apparantly quite common.

Maybe it's something to do with moving on with your life and entering the next phase?

Oh pregnancy dreams. Some of them I miss (Daniel Craig on a beach an no worries about sand in your bits), some of them I am glad are over. Certainly had the 'DH dying, leaving me, cheating on me etc' ones and I do believe I also gave birth to a cat and found out it was a spider at my 20wk scan. All good fun.

Bouncingturtle · 29/08/2007 21:21

I dreamt that Doctor Who (David Tennant) had got me pregnant.
I also dreamed that DH had left me just after I found out I was pg and I tried to contact him after the 20 week scan, and couldn't get hold of him. I was really upset afterwards, and it took many cuddles from Dh to make me feel better!
Dreams in general seem to be more vivid generally.

PregnantGrrrl · 30/08/2007 10:35

i dreamed that i went into labour at work, then delivered the baby in the staff room.

i also dreamed that i was driving with DH and 2 others, when we crashed. A steam train pulled up next to us, and a man in a mask got out and picked up the bodies of the 2 passengers, chopped them up, and threw them in his train. Then he drove away, leaving DH and I in the wreckage.

revelyell · 30/08/2007 17:03

oooh i wish i was having some of the sillier ones..

I seem to be going through a bit of a nightmare -patch. have had one last night and the night before. hope it doesnt happen again- before this week i hadnt had a nightmare for years!

last night was cliche of cliches, just my DP smiling at me and indifferently telling me that he'd had enough and was leaving- he had a map of new zealand spread out in front of him and was casually picking a place to fly to that night!
doesnt sound that scary but his complete indifference to leaving me seemed to upset me so much that i woke up in floods of tears, wailing like a banshee and couldnt calm down for at least 5 minutes!
its strange really, cos in RL im (or thought i was) cool with the possibility we might not stay together... we've only been together properly a few months iyswim and the baby was completely unplanned (tho no less loved). maybe its just that primitive fear coming to the surface about being vulnerable at 7 months pg...

ClaphamLauren · 30/08/2007 17:12

I had a weird dream last night that I went into labour and my Mum came to the hospital with me, then she realised she was pregnant, 40 weeks and she went into labour and had her baby before me! Then mine popped out, totally pain-free (if only eh!?) and I went back to work two days later.

Such vivid dreams are driving me mad as I often have 2 or 3 every night and they wake me... Do they go away?
