Using the online calculators, if I go by the first day of my last period (28th Nov) I’m 5+3 or if I go by date I’d ovulation (16th Dec) I’m 4+6 - doesn’t make a whole lot of different but I have an early scan tomorrow morning due to repeated miscarriages and wondered what I’d be able to see, was hoping I’d be 5+4 but turns out I might be less than that...

Its by the first day, of your last period 😊

Last period but at 5 weeks you still unlikely to see much on an early scan. Will most likely be yolk sack and fetal Pole. Heartbeat is more likely to be seen 6+ weeks and best time for an early scan is 8 ish weeks (I've had many an early scan at the epu because of 3+ miscarriage)

The hospital will go by the date of your last period and wont officially measure and date until 12 weeks, but you know in yourself if you go in and its measuring 4+6 not to worry.
There was 2 weeks difference between my last period & ovulation date so when I had a scan and it measured to my ovulation dates I wasnt worried.

Thanks all, I know that the hospital use the last period, but at least if I’m measuring behind a bit I know why and I ovulated a bit later that cycle. I’m just so nervous due to 3 miscarriages.

To calculate it from ovulation, you should add 266 days to your suspected ovulation date.

4 weeks or 5 weeks, it's probably too early to see something definitive on a scan. Hang in there xx Flowers
