Pregancy scare

Hello folks

I had sex with my girlfriend on the nights of 31st Dec and 1st Jan - only a few days ago. We used a condom on both occasions, and I always check afterwards to see if the condom has split or something like that - it was fine. We use no other form of contraception.
So pretty 'safe', but during foreplay there was fingering - touching myself and her - so a small chance of precum transference.

Then on the 4th of Jan she noticed slight bleeding from her vagina and tenderness in her breasts - and she knows that these can be early signs of pregnancy.

Her last period was the 21st Dec (and our previous sex was before then) so her next period isn't due for a couple of weeks.

Clearly, the time between sex and her symptoms is rather brief, and so unlikely it would signify pregnancy - but we're still a bit worried!

Although our sex was relatively safe, why would she be noticing these symptoms?

Any thoughts welcome!

Thanks

Those symptoms can also be a sign of ovulation. I think, on balance of probability, you'll be ok.

Thanks for getting back to me!
It's just a bit odd that she has never had these kinds of symptoms before, especially at this point in her cycle - her last period was 2 weeks ago.

They can be signs but not 3 days after sex, you'll be fine!

Women can bleed for all sorts of reasons, if her bleeding is abnormal she should see a GP, I doubt at this stage it would be pregnancy related..

Thanks for the answers folks.
We're probably just being unnecessarily worried.
Hopefully her period will start as usual in a couple of weeks.
Thanks.
