Hi everyone
I’m about 7 weeks pregnant and oh my god this sickness just will not ease up!! And I have to say it’s making me extremely miserable.
I am honestly trying so hard to push through but even laying down or moving around I just feel sick. I was even sick first thing this morning for the first time which to be honest I prefer that rather than just the feeling. Any ideas or advice would be so much appreciated
I have tried a few already
Sucking on mints
Sucking on a ice cube
Lucozade sipping
Sipping water
Eating little and often
I’m just running out of ideas 🤷🏼‍♀️ And it was not my plan to tell work this early on so I need something anything anyone can think of I’ll try!!

Get some anti-sickness from your GP. Several safe options. People who predominantly suffer from nausea often find one called cyclizine quite good. Or stemitil.

I’m a HG sufferer & have tried everything on the market. Sadly I’ve never found one to cure my nausea but I’m a particularly bad case. Hopefully something might just work for you! Otherwise, my advice is to take it easy & rest. It’s a really unpleasant time. It’s just about survival until it hopefully passes by 14 weeks & your second trimester!

I’ve told my manager at 7/8 weeks in both my pregnancies. It made such a difference to not have to lie about my absence or struggling on at work! He quietly reduced my workload & told me to just do what I could, there’d be no judgement while I was feeling so poorly. What a hero!

This is my first pregnancy and I'm 9 weeks 4 days. This past week has been the worst to the point I had to tell my manager and leave work on Friday. I went straight to the shops and bought some anti-nausea bands and they seem to have helped A LOT!

I'd recommend trying them...

I'm also just avoiding anything that makes me queasy, which is pretty much everything at the minute 😩

Dont let yourself get hungry
Stay hydrated
Lemon sherbet boiled sweets
I find that snacks/food with a strong taste help e.g salt & vinegar crisps, sweet chilli noodles etc the bland foods actually make me feel worse because I always have a horrible taste in my mouth and constantly salivating.

Thanks everyone I might defiantly try the bands first if no luck I’m booking in with my GP. It’s just horrible isn’t it i was telling my other half that I am so trying to just muddle through but it’s so difficult when it’s constant!
I’m back to work tomorrow so we will see but I’m kind of getting to the point where I think I am gonna have to tell work early. It’s a bit complicated because I no they won’t be thrilled so I just wanted to hold out till I’m 12 weeks so I didn’t have any negative energy around in the early days.

I’ve had morning sickness since I was 6 weeks pregnant and I’m now coming up to 23 weeks, I tried all sorts of Anti sickness but turns out I had HG. Get yourself checked out, and always go back if nothing works for you. Also stay hydrated as much as you can! I few times I’ve had to be pumped with fluids and vitamins because liquid wouldn’t stay down. Still suffering now . Hope it gets better for you Smile

Oh wow 23 weeks 😩😩 well congrats but that isn’t making me feel any better haha , I’m drinking so much but the peeing is unreal haha I think it’s a trip to the doctors sometime this week
