Post C Section help - painful

Hi ladies,

I had my semi elective section 6 weeks ago and I seemed to heel very well and recovere quickly. I haven't had any discomfort at all since 2 weeks post op however the last few days my stomach is so tender and painful, not necessarily my wound but above and below it feels extremely bruised and is very sore to touch.

I also noticed that I'm getting stiffer and more painful when using my stomach muscles, this hasn't been an issue at all even straight after my section never bothered me however all of a sudden I'm in pain when I'm sitting up from slouching/laying etc.

Does anyone know why this is? I thought I'd done with the pain however this is more uncomfortable than my wound a few days after 😩. Is it just bruising ? as I know it's still relatively early however, was under the impression I'd be heeled by week 6.

Does anyone have any similar stories and what did you use to help?

Thanks in advance

Are you BF? Only because it can be your muscles tightening and going back to how they were obviously over time.

If you're worried ask your health visitor to have a look

Congratulations

Hi @Shaunieh95 sorry to hear you're so uncomfortable. Can I ask if there is actual bruising or do you just feel bruised?
I developed a bad infection after my section and although mine presented within days, my initial symptoms sound similar to what you've mentioned.
That's not to scare you, but just to suggest you maybe see your gp or HV to be checked over when you can to rule that out. Hope it eases soon for you x
