Hi I need help I took a pregnancy test yesterday and the clear blue has came up as 2-3 me and my long term partner have been on and off and suffered a misscarriage last year and I haven’t been in any contraception since, from November to now we have been on and relationship good apart from a weekend at start of December which was the 7th we split i went out and drunkenly slept with someone elseConfused but as I told told by the person himself it wasn’t really full on and things per say didn’t finish, Before this silly mistake and after it was just my partner. On terms of period I am not sure as I am very irregular but for the life of me can’t remember when my last period was but I think that the morning after the 7th which was the 8th I think I bled for a few days whether this was a period or not. Basically I’m asking for help or opinions rather as to could this one night be the father or my partner. Thanks

I think it’s probably your partner, if you’re only 2-3 days and had a period since the one-nighter.
I hope you’re okay. Does your partner know about the ons?

Hi no he isn’t aware and sorry I’m not sure if you had a typo but the clear blue came up as 2-3 weeks. I’m so scared I cannot tell him but to put my mind as ease and stop me stressing out I just wish I could get like an accurate time line but it seems I won’t until my 12 week scan will I be able to get a more clear idea?

Op without knowing exactly when your last period was it's hard to say. If you're 2 weeks pregnant they put you at 4 weeks so it could be the other guys.... If your last period was 8th Dec you would have ovulated around 22nd Dec making it your partners. Prob best to be honest with him in my opinion. Hope you're OK x

I think it might be better to tell your partner what happened.
It seems it could be either way without enough information to go on.
You don’t say if you live together or what other support you have.

The 2-3 weeks on clear blue is from conception. The 7th December was almost 4 weeks ago so if it was the other guys the test would probably say 3+.

If you had a period on 8th Dec, your fertile window would have been around the 22nd which is almost 2 weeks ago so the clear blue would say 1-2 weeks. Unfortunately it looks like it could be either of them Confused, although if the other guy didn’t finish I would say it’s very unlikely to be his.

You could pay to get an early scan which would give you a more accurate date of conception.
