Glamorous topic. Used to go at least twice - day pre-pregnancy and now once...

Similar for you folks?

Yes it's the worse since I am pregnant haven't had a satisfied number 2 😂 it's really annoying though

I go usually once just after coffe in the morning, and sometimes mid morning again. But since pregnant I had some days when I went once, or I skipped a day, which resulted in more piles. I put it due to hormones and baby pushing in my back, as my diet is the same as before.

A pain but will go after delivery.

If you are still managing to go once a day I think your lucky. Usually find drinking a cup of hot/warm water helps ease constipation

I went down to occasional at best frankly. I still remember the horror of it all these years later, including one episode in a friend’s bathroom where I almost passed out.

I’ve been struggling with this too and so asked the midwife. The advice is that if you are funding you can’t go for 3 days or more then it’s worth seeing your GP to prescribe something. Before that there are lots of things you can do that might help:

  • drinking hot water, as @MrsRocket noted
  • drinking at least 2 litres of liquid per day
  • high fibre diet (try prunes!)
  • moderate exercise
  • taking Lactulose over-the-counter from chemists
Hope it gets better!

Also reccomend getting andrex wipes as they are more gentle when you have piles and also much better when things get messy as consistency changes as you go on 🙈🙈
