What is this weird pain?

18 weeks pregnant first time mum, hardly any cramping or pain up until now barely even the odd twinge.

Since yesterday, I've been having on and off discomfort and pain in my pelvic/groin area, mostly seems to be brought on by moving like getting up off a bed, turning over in bed or lifting my leg up. Sometimes when just walking around or sitting but usually more ok when immobile. I was really uncomfortable with it yesterday evening and it's still there today although so far not as bad.
It's more noticeable either side, sort of where your knicker legs sit if that makes sense!
Bump area now seems to feel very heavy and full. My tailbone area also seems tender.

Obviously I'll ring the midwife to check on Monday morning, but it's still unsettling me a bit after two previous (though earlier) losses and I'm praying it's nothing bad Sad

Has anyone had similar and it been ok or do I need to panic?

I had this over Christmas period and lying on side or turning really hurt after about 3 days of having it I then got an upset tummy and it flushed everything out sorry tmi so am not sure if maybe I was a bit blocked up and I have been fine since I was 23 weeks when this happened so not much further along than your self hope this helps

Sounds like pgp very common in pregnancy as everything stretches/moves etc.

It sounds like Pelvic Girdle Pain.

Round ligament pain. I found it hard to relax and believe all was OK given the pain.

I was thinking lightening crotch to begin with but that's more of a shooting pain in the pelvic area and down. But from your description it sound more like as pps have said pgp. Have a look at some prenatal yoga poses to help ease the pain.

I will have a look, I had never heard of pgp before and had heard of round ligament but for some reason thought that was much later on! Am starting to feel a bit less panicky about it thank you
