You need to go have a scan if you genuinely think your pregnant. I've seen your other threads in thinking you can feel movements and what sounds like a negative test

latheritup · 03/01/2020 22:40

A test? A scan?

MooseBeTimeForSummer · 03/01/2020 22:49

Not 5 months but 4. I had irregular periods so thought nothing of it, in addition I had the stress of selling a house, packing up and emigrating.

No symptoms. My expanding waistline was the giveaway.

You need to request a scan from your local EPU or see a GP. It’s very unlikely you’d be pregnant if you’re testing negative but none of us can tell for sure if you are or not. Or you can get a private scan booked in sooner, they normally have appointments on the day if you have the money so you can get a quicker answer.

It’s pretty unusual I’d imagine. Not impossible but the vast majority of people would notice something by 5 months. Missed or peculiar periods, a bump, fatigue, nausea etc.. some people do sail through with zero symptoms but by 5 months even the slimmest or smallest of bump people would notice their stomachs going an odd shape and feeling quite hard/solid!

If you’ve had a negative test but think you might be, go see your GP. They can quickly run bloods to confirm. Or if you can afford it, you can get on the day scan appointments privately. No-one but a medical professional can tell you for sure, it’s futile trying to work it out from answers on a forum!

My DD was nearly 16 weeks when she discovered she was expecting DGS2 but she thought she was less. It's only when she went for her 12 week scan that she discovered she was actually 18+ weeks 🙈

She had no symptoms for pregnancy and actually visited the Dr for something unrelated 😂

Sushirolls · 04/01/2020 00:01

Btw her PT came back with an error, she didn't get a positive

Bluerussian · 04/01/2020 04:44

Not me but my friend's 23 year old daughter didn't know she was pregnant until she was five months gone. Obviously she'd put on some weight around the middle but that wasn't unusual for her and she didn't look pregnant. She was on the pill and still having a monthly bleed. However she felt unwell and was referred to a gynaecologist for investigations who - eventually - diagnosed her pregnancy with a scan. It was quite a shock! All was well eventually though and she had a lovely baby.

Ndenga1234 · 04/01/2020 07:59

Believe it or not i discovered i was preggers 6months into it.. EDD is tomorrow and even now i look like I'm 4months paged.. No sickness no nothing, irregular periods throughout.. Only when i was told i was that big did i start feeling the baby kicking and boy i think baby is doing karate not kicking actually.

I have massive hormonal imbalance and was even deemed infertile 5years ago.. So yes, in my family this often happens notjing new there.. The doctors and midwives always look at me like a walking science exploration smh

emmab96 · 04/01/2020 08:36

My friend I used to work with left work with a stomach bug and came back with a baby! Honestly it was like a story on tv she had no idea she was pregnant ( irregular periods, little weight gain etc ) we were all in total shock because it's crazy to believe that someone wouldn't know they were pregnant at all but it clearly can happen! She has a gorgeous three year old now thankfully baby was healthy and happy despite the lack of prenatal careSmile

@KL87 if you seriously think you're pregnant you either need to book a private scan ASAP or go see the gp. At 5 months they'd definitely be able to feel your uterus by then

Have you missed any periods? Your other thread made it sound like your still having regular periods but had something that you think felt like baby movements

KL87 · 04/01/2020 13:21

Yes I’m still having regular periods which makes me think I’m not pregnant so could be something else going on , my only unusual period was 5 months ago on my period tracker where I waited 47 days to come on and normally come on every 29-30 days

Then you need to make a go appointment. They would be able to feel your uterus above your pelvis at 5 months so. Pregnancy should be obvious. If not hopefully they can advise what the feeling could be

Being examined or having a scan are pretty much the only ways you'll find out at this stage

KL87 · 04/01/2020 14:59

Thanks for you help will go drs and get checked out
