Did anyone have their dating scan booked by phone

I know you usually get a letter but if you are quite late like only just had booking appt at 11 weeks, do they sometimes just call to book it?

I think I had a missed call from the hospital and not worried about it

With all three of mine I had a phone call to book it and never received a letter for the dating scan. I wonder if it varies by geographical location?

I did with DC3, although it may have been because I thought I was almost 3 months pregnant and so it needed to be done quickly.

The midwifes at my hospital always leave a voicemail if I don't answer. Call them back and ask them why they called you, then you'll know.

Yes I got my first scan appointment over the phone because like you I didn't get booked in until late due to moving to a new area and changing GP surgery.

The hospital always call from now caller id’ and never leave voicemails. Thanks for the replies, just hoping it’s that and not something wrong with my blood, as they rang earlier asking about a test I wanted

I was booked via phone plus received a confirmation letter

I'm in Surrey and had a missed call from the hospital; I called back (on hold for 15 mins) and they gave me date and time of booking in appointment and 12-week scan and said they'd also send a letter. They called 30th Dec but I haven't had the letter yet; my appointments are 10th Jan and 4th Feb.

You can always give them a ring to check/chase the appointment.
