Hi, I'm 9 weeks pregnant with my first child and at the beginning when I was 5 weeks, I experienced really bad cramping and then it stopped after a week, I got told that it was normal to experience it at the beginning. Since yesterday I've started experiencing pain in like my groin area and where I usually have cramps when I'm on my period. The pain is mild at the moment but it still quite hurts. Should I be worried or is this normal? Thanks x

It could be growing pains. I had cramps a lot in early pregnancy and it terrified the crap out of me, I drove myself nuts checking my knickers for blood every time I went to pee, but it was just growing pains and I'm now 32 weeks pregnant :)

I'd imagine that if it were anything to worry about that you would have had some bleeding or other symptoms by now as you've had the pains for 4 weeks so try not to worry and just trust that your body is getting ready to grow a baby.

Alternatively if you are concerned, you could (if you can afford to) book an early private reassurance scan.

Also, congratulations! Thanks
