Tired in second trimester - is this normal?

I'm at home today and am feeling shattered. I went upstairs for a quick lie down earlier and fell asleep for 1.5 hours! Blush

I know it's usual to feel very tired in the first trimester, but I'm now 23 weeks pregnant and thought I was meant to be over that stage now!

Is this normal?

It might be worth checking your iron levels, but it's not terribly unusual, I'm afraid.

Oh ok - it's not just me then! I thought the tiredness was just a first trimester thing but obviously not!

For me exhaustion has been a 1st,2nd and 3rd trimester thing. I got put on iron tablets due to being anaemic at 28 weeks which helped for about 2 weeks where I had energy and finally got stuff done but then that soon went again.. 3 weeks left here and I literally can't wait for baby to be here so I can sleep for more than 20 mins and hopefully feel a bit more refreshed!

100% normal. Pregnancy is exhausting the whole way through for me! Possibly worth a check of your iron as anaemia can make you feel really drained but generally, growing a human is really hard work on your body!

I'm 14 weeks and was wondering if feeling so exhausted was normal but sounds like it is. I'm also suffering horrible back pain and dreading returning to work on Monday. I was hoping the tiredness would go but at least the sickness has gone which I'm grateful for.

Yes! I was counting down to the end of the first trimester as I was so tired and was looking forward to the burst of energy that was supposed to happen in the second. Still waiting and baby is now 3 months old...

Totally normal. You're growing a person!
