Hi all, big moment is getting closer and I would like to hear from some moms that got through this at RBH hospital in Reading, share their experiences ☺️

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Sorry no experiences as haven't given birth yet (due 1st may) but i will also be giving birth at RBH.
I have had 2 friends that have given birth there in the past year and they said it was absolutely fine. One had a c-section and said she opted to pay for a private room which she recommends if available.
Other a vaginal delivery and i think she went in the early hours on saturday morning and was back home by the afternoon!
Good luck :)

Hello I had both of mine there in 2011 and 2013 and they were utterly brilliant! I had an emergency CS and then. I tried for a VBAC but ended up with a planned CS. The staff were just brilliant. My first daughter was very poorly and on the high dependency unit and they looked after us all so well.

Hey ladies

Anyone with recent experience with consultant led care at RBH?
Also do they provide nappies or do i have to pack my own for baby?

Following!

I had a CVS which failed and then an amniocentisis at RBH during this pregnancy due to a high NT measurement and the staff were fantastic. Booked in for C section in a couple of weeks, so keen to hear peoples' experiences! Glad to hear everything so far is positive.

I think they'll have some emergency nappies, but you'll be expected to bring everything (including nappies) yourself.

I had two there (VBs) and it was fine. Ask about having a demonstration on how to bath your baby while you're on the ward; we found out at the last minute that this was a thing that happened. If you're lucky your baby will be the demo baby who gets washed Grin

@Salvia89 I recently had a planned cesarean at RBH and it was fantastic. Felt really well looked after, the midwife and anesthetist in particular were great.

@DoctorBambino That's great to know - thank you! Looking forward to it in a weird way :)
