Does anyone else who's preggers have throbbing in their special area? Mine feels so swollen and throbby (tmi i know), but it's driving me mad. If i stand up for too long it's throb city downstairs! It's so uncomfortable. Anyone else suffering the same thing?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I've not had it yet this time but had it near the end with ds. I think it's to do with the baby pressing down on your nerves.
I'm pmsl at 'special area' btw.

No advice but love the thread title.

Do you have vulval varicose veins?
I ask because i recognise how uncomfortable i felt when pregnant with dd2.

It's not thrush is it?? Mine felt like this and they found out I had thrush.

You sound like you've got SPD - symphsis pubis dysfunction (sp?). It's when the joints and joins of the pelvis become inflamed. I have had it in 2 subsequent pregnancies, but this is the only one (now 33wks) when it has been diagnosed. I went to a physio re. other back problems, described the symptoms you are describing and was told it's spd. They gave me a brilliant corset, and now use crutches also. Also sleep with a pillow between your knees.I don't hurt at the back, just the front and it's very swollen. There are lots of threads on SPD. Ask your midwife for a physio referral and see what they can do to help. Standing is not a good thing, so sit as much as possible . Hope this helps and your pain doesn't get much worse.
