Yes I had that in both of my pregnancies. It is quite normal I believe it's your uterus starting to stretch although someone with more technical knowledge will come along to explain properly. It did make me use to check pretty regularly that my period hadn't arrived. Best wishes with your pregnancy. I hope everything goes smoothly.

Hope everything goes well for you!

I was on holiday and due my period in the second week. It never came but I had horrible cramps that night and for a few days after so kept rushing to check at every opportunity. Little bean needs to stick in somewhere and everything has to start adjusting 😊
Just keep an eye out for anything that doesn't sit right with you

Hi OP, I also had this with both pregnancies.

My current second pregnancy in the early pregnancy I was driving to work and convinced I had miscarried and was bleeding, I even felt wet.
I ran strait unto the toilet scared what to find and nothing! I couldn't believe it, I sobbed with relief, I'm now 16+4

The feelings of your uterus stretching are very similar to the start of period pains. which can be very scary.

I hope this gives some reassurance and hope your pregnancy goes well xxxxx

I read that period-like cramps are the ligaments in your abdomen/uterus stretching, so they’re perfectly normal. You only need to worry/call the doctor if you have severe, extended cramps and heavy bleeding. That said, if your are worried about anything, do call the doctor for reassurance; you can book a telephone conversation if you prefer not to go in, or you can call 111 for advice.
