Hi there,
Ive been having what i think are braxton hicks for a coupke of weeks now which have been uncomfortable but not outrageous and definitely not regular.
However, last night and this morning, have been experiencing what i can only describe as period cramps, or like the feeling you get when you have an upset stomach?! Could this be a sign of early labour?
Im 34+3 so very early for a normal pregnacy but my first baby came at 34 weeks, spontaneous labour so i don't know if im just being over anxious considering my past history and if this is just a normal sign of third trimester pregnancy.
I feel stupid for not knowing, after all, ive been through it once before but i didnt have any build up the first time and i was at 4cm dilated without feeling any contraction pain/cramping - both unusual and extremely lucky, i know!

No one on here could really say. Because pains like that could be stretching and adjusting, but also could be very early labour. Personally I'd be cancelling plans and making my midwife aware just in case! Try not to worry or stress as this will make it feel worse. Good luck with whichever it turns out to be!

Thanks @sirmione16 - I'm stupidly looking for reassurance on something that'd be impossible to give someone reassurance for over the internet haha!
I have my 34week midwife appt tomorrow so will defo mention it then if its still ongoing. Ideally, the cramps will go and i can just put it down to more braxton hicks or like you say, my body adjusting etc.
Thanks for the message!

Aw I understand it must be scary getting to this point when you were naturally early with your first, though. I'm sure every little pain you're like "ITS BEGUUUN" but don't worry, have a bubble bath (if someone's around to haul you out, I got stuck when pregnant once) and enjoy your evening

This is how I've felt since 32 weeks.. Period cramps. Pressure the upset stomach type feelings.. Lightning etc for me it's just BH and they get rather painfull too considering they ain't suppose to be.. Don't feel stupid because every labour is differernt my 1st started Completly different to my 2nd so its kind of like we have never been through it before if only it was textbook it would make things so much easier wouldn't it! If the pains get worse etc give hospital a call other than that I'd say take some paracetamol and have a nice bath see if it helps and it's good your seeing your midwife tomorrow :)
