Polyhydramnios at 35 weeks

I have been diagnosed with unexplained Polyhydramnios as my bump was growing faster than it should have been. Scans have shown I am continuing to create more amniotic fluid, so I will be induced at 38 weeks. Tests have shown I do not have gestational diabetes and the scans are not showing any abnormalities with the baby. I had a harmony test earlier in the pregnancy which was also low risk. Has anyone experienced this? I am panicking that there may be some kind of congenital abnormality which will only be picked up after the birth. I have had lots of pregnancy losses and just feel so anxious that there is something wrong again. Has anyone experienced this and it's all been fine? And if not, what was the outcome? Thanks.

Thank you for sharing your experience. At what stage were you diagnosed and how severe was it?

I had this too - right at the end, think around 36 weeks, they did some measurements of the extra fluid and it was deemed mild but they were looking to induce, baby was also moving between diagonal and transverse, not sure if that was because of the excess fluid, so they would've broke my waters and monitored if he moved and engaged. Different docs said different things and on the day I was offered a section which I accepted Smile
My bump was quite hard so I think that was the extra fluid maybe.

Try not to worry (easier said than done!) you've had your checks, Harmony etc which is all good xxx
