Hi all

As the title says I've got the most horrendous pain in my right bum cheek. It is really starting to hinder my mobility. I'm waddling, stairs are a nightmare, rolling over in bed and getting up from sitting/lying down are agony. And it sometimes feels like my back has just given up, like I'm physically unable to get up.

A friend mentioned sciatica but I have no numbness I can only describe it as constant cramp like pain?

I'm almost 35 weeks. Is it just something alot of people get and you have to get on with it?

It has councided with some other pains so not sure if it's babies position now? Have called midiwfe waiting on call back or should I see gp?

I had a lot of pain to the top of my bum cheek while I was pregnant. I had PGP/SPD. By the time I delivered I was in a wheelchair. Some of your other symptoms like rolling over in bed were issues for me too. DS is 6 weeks and I'm feeling more like my old self.

Also see if you.m can refer to physio, they helped me.

I keep getting pains in my right bum cheek that runs down my leg also.
The dr told me it is sciatica. Never had it before pregnancy as i'm very fit and active.
I was told she can refer me to physio, but said unless it gets worse i won't bother yet as it's so sporadic and doesn't last long. If i get it before bed lying on my right side can be uncomfortable.
I was told to keep exercising and moving as that will help, as i'm a big gym goer anyway it's not been too much of an issue yet.
I'm on 23 weeks so hoping it doesn't get too much worse!

@goingtoneedabiggercar thanks for the link that's sounding similar it just doesn't seem to fit what I'd expect sciatica to be like. I think. I'll call gp as it's getting worse and constant. I'm dreading the 2 mile round trip walking on the school run next week. It's going to take me ages.

@ejmay90 I had it I'd say mildly and randomly throughout from around 20 weeks. I thought it was me pushing myself too hard at work. Then it went. I'm trying to move as much as possible but its now constant.
