C -section date

Just wondered if anyone has had a C/S recently, I have had 2 previously but the system (maybe just in my area has changed ) with the previous two I saw the consultant and she gave me my date. I went to see her on Tuesday but she said I’m to wait for a team of C/S midwives to ring me with a day . 37weeks tomorrow and still haven’t heard anything. Anyone experienced anything something similar ? When did you find out your date ? Trying to plan child care in advance and I’m sure I had my date by now with the previous 2. Thanks

I was 37 weeks when I was given my date. I had to go see the hospital midwife to get given the date but they wouldn't book it earlier than 37 weeks as apparently things change so much it can mess up the diary!

My consultant asked me at 12 weeks appointment if I needed notice so I could plan childcare ect I said yes so she said I could have my date at my 28 week appointment which is end of this month so will have to see

I got my date (will be 39+1) at an appointment at 36 weeks.

I got my date at my 32 week appointment. 37 weeks seems late to me as they usually do the cs at 39 weeks.

My consultant said he will see me at 36 weeks to discuss pre op stuff. And then they will phone me a few days before around 39 weeks to confirm a date.

I have a leaflet that gives prep information and it says they usually phone you about 4/5 days before with the date

I got mine at 32 weeks but was told it's usually 36. X

I got mine at 36+5 and got a phone call followed by a letter confirming the date the next day.
