Hi all

I got the best ever Christmas present this year when I found out I was pregnant on Boxing day! My OH & I had been trying for a while & when I saw the positive I was so shocked & happy! I bought 3 more tests to make sure! I went to my GP & I am due in August!
It's my first child & I am so excited & nervous! We aren't going to tell anyone until the 12 week mark.
I have no idea what to expect over the next few weeks or months but I am so so happy

Congrats!

I'm 5 weeks too. Found out on Xmas day Smile

Kona84 · 02/01/2020 06:33

Congratulations, I found out on NYE.
Can I ask what was your first GP appointment like? What did they test/do?
I haven’t been to the doctors yet and feeling a bit anxious about it

EssJayyCee · 02/01/2020 08:51

Congratulations OP.

I found out the day before NYE. It was such a perfect way to enter the new year! Especially after 17months TTC and in the middle of getting fertility medication!

I think I am only 4 weeks +1 but I'm not 100% sure because I have irregular cycles.

It is also my first baby and I am so excited and nervous too!

Have you got any symptoms yet?

itssquidstella · 02/01/2020 08:55

Congrats @Duffy23 😊 I found out on the 29th and I'm now 5 weeks 3 days.

I've had some cramps and mild nausea on and off, as well as feeling more tired than usual, but haven't had any major symptoms yet. It's hard to believe it's really real!

EssJayyCee · 02/01/2020 08:57

@itssquidstella
Congratulations!

Cramps have been my only real symptom and boob growth! Other than that I have had nothing so it's so so hard to believe it all!

It's all so exciting and so bloody nerve wracking!

Hi all

Thanks for the replies & huge congrats to you all. @Kona84 my doc gave me a flu shot as I am have asthma also. I also did another pregnancy test there. He booked me in for a scan in a few weeks & was so lovely

My only symptoms are my boobs are killing me 😂 so so sore! I also have gone off Coca cola & have a metallic taste in my mouth. I work as a retail manager so was exhausted after Xmas anyway so am tired too xx

@EssJayyCee thanks and to you! My boobs haven't changed at all yet - I've felt the occasional tingle but they look exactly like they always do!

I don't know whether to be concerned or not; they never change with PMS normally so I think they're just quite unresponsive. I want big boobs, dammit!

WeeDinah · 02/01/2020 19:53

Congratulations all 😊 I'm 5 weeks aswel, we found out on the 27th. Been TTC for 4 years so we are delighted and praying for a sticky bean this time 🙏 My anxiety is through the roof but all very strong positives that show up straight away so its helping to settle the nerves a little x

ineedanotherholiday · 02/01/2020 20:05

Congratulations! I'm going to be a mum this year too Smile due in March!

SparkleUK · 02/01/2020 20:16

Congratulations everyone 😊
I loved the early stages but my word they were so anxious too! Wishing everyone lots of healthy, happy beans
33+1 and feeling like an OAP

Lazydaisydaydream · 02/01/2020 20:21

Congratulations! I found out on Christmas Eve. I think I'll be due at the very beginning of September. I don't really have any symptoms yet. My local area doesn't do midwife self referral but I feel like it's too early to see the GP as I'm worried about jinxing it!
